Confusion/Misdiagnosis/Rejection with MTHFR...Pivotal Info Today

While I am still trying to get this website cleaned up and fine tuned I have to get this off my chest now. In 2018 or 19 I had a pretty good hormone provider. She figured out something I brain fogged and blanked out on. Something so vital and so key in the last --oh--all of my life that I have been loaded with symptoms definitely put the suffering into some kind of sense . She gave me a list of very specific supplements, diet, lifestyle changes. I looked at the list and with my other sagging ego issues I said I can't afford all those things! Never once did I hear or comprehend the letters MTHFR. Not once. She left the practice and I got shifted to someone else. Fast forward to 2024, I kept researching and hearing about MTHFR from Gary Brecka ads on Facebook. I pulled up and printed multiple website list of symptoms. Somehow I checked out of reality from 2019 to 2024. There was a lot going on during this time-including our Covid era. I felt that I for sure matched most of the symptoms. So I asked my main PC to test, she had no idea what I was talking about. None--never heard of "methylation". I was in shock all I could equate that to was an auto mechanic who doesn't understand how gas runs a car and its fuel filter, etc. So then I asked her if I could get a homocysteine test which I learned was an huge indicator that MTHFR gene mutations are at play. Mine results were off the charts and I still did not realize I was already diagnosed positively for it. She was mortified with my blood pressure and annoyed that I refused meds. ( I researched scientific papers on sources or root causes of high bp--another blog) I had to cancel a deviated septum surgery. Later is would be a temporary blessing. So since she had no idea, I went back to my hormone replacement provider. I will not through shade on anyone directly. But...while I was happy she understood the test and authorized it. Next visit for results she saw my blood pressure was through the roof, she wants me to go to the ER right after the appointment. In the meantime she tells me yes I have 2 MTHFR mutations. I had no idea that day that it could be found in my file from 2019--same office, same location, same files. She never looked.

I don't have words for all that I have gone through with doctors medical as well as mental. To feel crazy while fear grips me day and night, not knowing why I can't get out of bed, why my BP is off the charts, why my heart is acting up, why brain doesn't work beyond my normal ADHD issues. I was dismissed by my main PC, told I should find someone else during a crisis.

I was also brushed off by my replacement hormone provider during office visits often distracted and rushed, missing the obvious and never doing the 6 month routine hormone saliva tests, my original provider was meticulous with. She actually gave me the wrong test the self pay box, this takes all day to do as you have to do it at intervals all day. The lab called and said I owed $200 if I wanted my results.

I have learned I have another mutated heart gene. I learned that MTHFR people cannot have dental nitrous oxide gas, folic acid, and sulfa drugs. I have looked back on the decades of suffering from one thing or another, being put on mental drugs and diagnosed with half a dozen mental illnesses instead of methylated B and those related nutrients. So many times I felt like a hypochondriac to further diminish my self esteem. As far back as birth I can see the various events that shaped a life of struggle, shame, sluggish or non existent function, mood imbalances, childhood UTI's, sick pregnancies that I never know had a name, lost a child as a result of, breathing, sleep, weight, hypertension, heart issues, and so on. Mental and Medical and emotional frustrations that left me hopeless and dark over and over. I've gone back to birth to see what I was given for injections, type of birth and caesarian effects, a mother with RH negative blood that I never knew until about 2024, researching anything that puts the pieces together. Maybe that's overkill but with the amount devastation I've experienced that has affected every aspect of my life maybe it matters as we learn more about a life like mine and those like me.

I just just wanted what most people do--a career that matched my natural skills and abilities in conjunction with maturity and intelligence and willingness to discipline for a goal. MTHFR in addition to the effects of my childhood trauma have been a complicated and painful journey to sort out. And made more egregious by the standard of Rockefeller health "care" and the marriage of big pharm but not assist in us the science and function of our human well being but for their own greed and profit. I don't blame most doctors except certain ones who held their own prejudices on natural things like the use of bio-identicle hormones, calling them toxic--never knowing the pain and suffering I experienced in puberty menses and beyond in not producing enough progesterone. We need change, now. I shouldn't be here and almost wasn't at 11, and other impossible times each and every decade with insufficient help.
