Creative Energy as a super power

Imagination was my lifeline & Super Power
Creative energy is powerful stuff. The little spark from an idea, color or inspiration, something in nature or the human beauty, a pattern, a shadow, the way a fabric flows -almost anything the consciousness can dish up and into a Divine flow of energy and off we go...I often thought for me no drug was this powerful because it wasn't to numb pain as much as the chaos created the opportunity to transmute it into a thing of love and the dance between human and spirit.....The power of Creation is within us all.
For now this page represents the undisciplined "wild child" artist who created from the heart, from the need to, no rules, no boundaries, exploring many projects, many mediums. Some projects were inspirations, challenges, or a dream to fulfill. Some artwork was used commercially, community organizations, business use, events, well the list goes on....I did many custom pieces as well which always made me nervous. I did a lot of artwork in my Thompsonville community I was too busy doing the real estate stuff to earn my keep so I was not able to devote time to building a career in art then. But this is the beginning of Chapter two.
My first dream at 18 was to be a fashion designer though it sounds cliche my mom used to draw and sew,and it felt right-- coincidentally she went to school with the infamous Betsy Johnson. On my French side, my great aunt was a fashion designer in France during wartime. I know now that in my level of vulnerability at 18 even though I was focused on the dream --I could not have moved to NYC. Later I went frequently to do movie and TV work but I drove home.
As a kid I was always making greeting cards, pretend advertising and faux product labels, I would do cartoons and characters. One special little character I designed I submitted to Enesco company, but it wasn't time. I did ironically do a mayonnaise label, I created the concept and the artwork and it is still in use today from the 90's. I have business signage and logos still in use as well from back then. So that's something.
I am starting over. Moving away from the real estate and property management I struggled with for years as I had been re-traumatized there too.. I had decided in 2023 I needed to learn a discipline and I finally broke my rule of structured learning in order to grow up and keep the wild child energy but apply her to the real world-still scary for me. This website creates a foundation for me to show my skills as I build a professional portfolio to be a surface designer. They say an artist has to have a "story" for their collections and inspirations. mmm. check.

My favorite house ever, my Victorian where I raised my children and learned some new panting techniques on furniture called shabby chic about 2008. Used this home as a backdrop for photoshoots, meetings, and inspiration from the superb craftsmanship and most of the original features still in tact like tin ceilings, pocket doors, stained glass, inlaid floors, raised panels, original wainscoting, and none of the oak woodwork painted, and more! My dream "castle"

More coming will be the projects I have done throughout my life in various mediums and for every battle I was in the midst of fighting --this part of me made it possible to exist outside of being a Mom, Realtor, Community activist, Spirit minded, Partner and having to put that "professional, or happy face on to the world until I could self destruct and rebuild again in truth and love. Pictures will speak a thousand words...only a few early pieces reflected my inner turmoil. Everything else I tried to reflect God's love in the creative process and use it to help others.
